The MedTech Group, Inc., South Plainfield, NJ, has recently announced the establishment of MedTech Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore. This new facility will enable The MedTech Group to begin sourcing in the Asian region and to identify future partners to manufacture medical products. For the first time, The MedTech Group will participate in Global-Asia Trade Exchange, (GATE) 2007, the two-day biennial event that brings together global buyers and Asian suppliers in the electronics and precision engineering industry.

The MedTech Group President, George Blank, noted that, “We appreciate the very positive, ethical and professional business climate. Everyone knows that the Asian market, for all types of goods and services, is growing and creating a strong business opportunity. The healthcare field has developed somewhat more slowly because of the patient costs involved. However, as the standards of living in the region improve, we believe that the need for higher quality medical treatment will accelerate. To prepare for that growth, we want to begin establishing ourselves in the region. This will begin with suppliers, partnerships and perhaps joint ventures. We are very optimistic about the people and potential which exists in Singapore and Asia.”
